BIO
Jean-Pierre Caner is a first generation American; born to a Spanish father and a French mother in New Orleans, LA. Growing up the family moved frequently because of his father’s career as an Executive Chef. Arriving in a new city every few years, as well as spending time in the kitchen with his father, exposed Jean-Pierre to a diverse group of cultures and characters.

After graduating from UCLA, Jean-Pierre began working in film and television full time. At first working in the Camera Department on set and later working in Editorial. He has worked on Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg’s “Future Man”, Emily Mortimer & Dolly Wells’ “Doll & Em”, David O. Russell’s “The Fighter”, Morgan Freeman’s “Through the Wormhole”, Xan Cassavettes’ “Kiss of The Damned”, Miranda July’s “The Future”, Azazel Jacobs’ “Terri”, Curtis Hanson’s “Lucky You” and “In Her Shoes”, several National Geographic productions and more.

In the last decade, Jean-Pierre has worked in short form storytelling, creating short documentaries, commercials, fashion videos, and narrative short films. This site is a collection of his most recent works.
